2015 Season

Image result for summer festival clipartBlog Soundtrack

The 2015 Season began with my first show on April 11 at the Bells and Whistles festival in McCormick, SC. Normally, I take some pictures and make a short mobile post from the location, but that didn't work out Saturday. We started selling before we could finish setting up. While I welcome and appreciate early sales, it kind of throws your rhythm off while setting up. So once everything was up, I forgot to get pictures and post.

Now, weather permitting, I will finish stocking up for the next month. I'm listed for 3 events in May. A Spring Fling the 1st Saturday of May in Clinton, SC; Clinton again the 3rd Saturday for the Rhythm on the Rails Festival; and Laurens for the Family Reunion Festival on the 4th Saturday. So a busy month. Following that, I hope to do the Laurens Farmers Market on Saturdays.

With Love & Soap Roses

Blog Soundtrack

This year, unlike the previous two, I was able to work on a special product for Valentine's Day. I'd toyed with the idea of making soap roses but was never able to really flesh it out. I never could find the right kind of soap mold and/or I didn't have enough time after the Christmas rush.

Atomic Heart Soap Bouquet
Since I managed to squeeze out a little extra time, I revisited the soap roses idea. I soon realized that it was not practical to attempt twelve long stem roses. I did however come across two small vases that would work perfectly for soap bouquets.

The first vase had a deep red heart shape that screamed cinnamon. Valentine's Day is the season of Red Hots candy. So I found a skin safe cinnamon fragrance oil for the flowers. I originally planned on having white roses but the fragrance oil turned the soap into more of a cream or winter white color which I liked better.

Berry Romantic Soap Bouquet

The second vase had a clear classic look. I decided to play on the romantic elements of Valentine's Day for this bouquet. Nothing says romance like chocolate dipped strawberries and champagne. So I blended dark chocolate and strawberry fragrance oils for the flowers and gave them a deep rose color. I added a single white strawberries and champagne scented heart to the top.

These bouquets are available now for a LIMITED TIME ONLY! To purchase a Valentine's soap bouquet or other Frugal Fragrances & More Products visit the web store frugalfragrancesandmore.com/store

Blog Soundtrack

This year has been interesting to say the least. There have been several highs and lows for Frugal, but thankfully, the year is ending on a high. Frugal has grown so much, that I finally invested in an actual website. I am currently finishing the final stages of the web store, so check back to see when the store opens. The website is live, so please visit me at www.frugalfragrancesandmore.com.

Thank You for all your support.

Merry Christmas!

Blog Soundtrack

As the 2014 Season draws to an end, I want to take a moment to thank the many people that support and patronize Frugal Fragrances & More. I couldn't have had such a successful season without you.

Although the season is officially over, we still accept orders and may attend some holiday festivals if time permits. Keep an eye out for tweets from the Frugal Fragrance twitter account @FrugalFragrance. You can catch sneak peeks at what I'm working on, as well as where I'll be selling next.

Thanks again for a Great Season!
